We, at Pine Manor, take animal welfare very seriously. We work with and adhere to the Global Animal Partnership (GAP) standards and have since the program was initiated. All of our chickens are raised to Step 2 standards. We also allow our organic chickens outdoor access.
In addition, we believe in the Five Freedoms: freedom from hunger and thirst; freedom from discomfort; freedom from pain, injury, and disease; freedom to express natural behavior; and freedom from fear and distress.

Pine Manor chickens are under careful watch from the time the egg hatches until they arrive at the store. They are raised without antibiotics and are fed an all-vegetable feed that doesn’t include any animal by-products. By doing this, and keeping the chickens air-chilled prior to packaging, the chicken has a higher quality, genuine flavor.
